Community is in our nature.
Nearly 50 years ago, our community came together to establish Rochester's first and only nature center, Quarry Hill Nature Center, with the shared belief that access to green spaces and nature education programs enriches our community.
Your support is more important than you might realize.
50% of our operating revenue comes from your participation in our nature education programs and events.
39% of our operating revenue comes from individual contributions, grants and sponsorships.
Our collective efforts can do big things to preserve greenspace and provide opportunities for all to enjoy experiences of learning, exploring and stewarding the land.
With your continued support in 2023, we will:
- Increase our bird banding research efforts in a newly restored bird stud area to engage students & community members in science research at a national level.
- Develop new community connections to Quarry Hill by expanding our M is for Minnesota program to adult literacy.
- Increase our member opportunities to come together as like-minded nature supporters through special member events.
Contributions of $60 or greater enjoy member benefits.
- Priority enrollment and discounted summer nature camp programs
- Free admission to Sunday Naturalist Programs
- Discounted cross-country ski and snowshoe rentals
- Special pricing for birthday parties for kids ages 4 - 11
- Reduced fees on rental/event spaces
