Quarry Hill Park and Nature Center Master Plan
In 2014, Quarry Hill Park and Nature Center applied for and was designated by the Greater Minnesota Parks and Trails Commission as a Minnesota Park of Regional Significance under the classification Natural Resource-based Regional Park. Over 90 applications representing 80 counties across Greater Minnesota were submitted during the commission’s inaugural application process for regional designation. As a result of the designation, the Friends of Quarry Hill and the City of Rochester completed a master plan with recommendations for improvements, restoration and revitalization of both the nature center and park land. This special designation is an honor and we look forward to continuing our legacy of stewardship and environmental education.
